Privacy Policy

1. What this covers

Yorker AI Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“we”) operates the Yorker AI commentary service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Using the service means you agree to this processing. Related rules are in our Terms of Service.

2. Data we collect

• Account. Email, name, hashed password (email sign-up only), Google account id and avatar if you use Google, organisation name, and the time you accepted these policies.
• Match data. Team and player names you enter, scores, ball events, generated commentary text, and spoken audio clips needed to play commentary back.
• Billing. Plan, usage counters, and Razorpay payment identifiers. We do not store full card numbers; Razorpay does.
• Technical logs. IP address, device/browser, and timestamps, used for security, rate limits, and debugging.

3. Why we use it

To run your account and matches, generate commentary, take payment, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal data. Public scorecard and overlay links show the match information you chose to share — treat those URLs as public.

4. Processors

We send the minimum needed to: hosting and database providers; OpenAI and speech vendors to generate text and audio; Razorpay for payments; Google if you sign in with Google. Those providers process data under their own terms, including transfers outside India.

5. Retention

Account and match records are kept while the organisation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for billing disputes and legal claims. You can ask us to delete an account; we will remove or anonymise personal data unless we must keep a record of a payment or a legal request.

6. Cookies

We use a session token stored in the browser so you stay signed in, plus whatever is required for Google sign-in and Razorpay checkout. We do not run third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, and you may withdraw consent for optional processing by closing the account. Write to aryasyorker@gmail.com. You may also complain to the relevant Indian data-protection authority.
